It has an embossed surface to wrap-up and bind the cable tighter to increase the friction. It usually applied to communication cable, special cable, rubber-sheathed cable, power cable, coaxial cable, optic cable etc. It is relatively tough to melt or distort even to temperature higher than 180℃.
