Available in widths from 350mm to 850mm, it supports paper, film, composite, or sticker media between 60–400gsm or 25µm film. Once a roll reaches its preset diameter, the system pauses the unwind nip momentarily, aligns the new roll edge, and creates a 10° angled butt splice with adhesive tape on both sides, all within seconds—keeping the downstream line uninterrupted. A roller-buffer loop (festoon) is key to absorbing slack during this short pause. When the splice is complete, the festoon pays out to feed the downstream system, allowing it to continue uninterrupted.
