Compact Ladle Drying Machine

This advanced multi-function ladle preheating dryer is specifically designed for aluminum melting and die casting facilities. Its primary functions are to thoroughly dry transfer ladles to eliminate all traces of moisture and then preheat them to the optimal temperature (up to 650°C) before they come into contact with molten aluminum. This two-step process is critical for preventing violent steam explosions, avoiding abrupt thermal shock that can crack refractory liners, and reducing hydrogen absorption which leads to pinhole porosity in finished castings. The unit features a robust, fully welded steel frame with a high-temperature fan that circulates hot air evenly throughout the ladle cavity. Heating is provided by either high-efficiency gas burners or electric resistance elements, both offering rapid ramp-up rates – from ambient to 600°C in less than 35 minutes.
