The Gobi of the Silk Road
Design Background and Design Inspiration
In the thousand-year history of the Silk Road, during the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties (220 - 589 AD), countless caravans crossed the desert and were active on the Eurasian Silk Road.
During the Wei and Jin dynasties, the official leading force gradually declined, and the Silk Road experienced a vacuum period lacking official control. Folk caravans thus became the protagonists of the Silk Road. They connected the Central Plains and Mobei, and linked the Western Regions and the Southern Dynasties, traveling through the endless yellow sand to reach the inland. The yellow sand of the Eurasian Silk Road witnessed the footprints of merchants and their contributions to cultural and economic exchanges. Drawing inspiration from this, Shisanchai designed the exclusive original pattern "The Gobi of the Silk Road" under the Silk Road Series, which has obtained intellectual property protection.
