The magnetic seal completely eliminates the rotating shaft penetration through the vessel wall. Torque is transmitted from an external motor to an internal impeller across a sealed containment shell. This creates a static seal arrangement rather than a dynamic one. Static seals have inherently lower leak risk compared to dynamic seals that run on a rotating shaft surface. The internal surface of this reactor is fully glass lined. All wetted parts including the vessel body and the agitator blades receive a glass coating.
