Steel Coil Uncoiler for Tube Mill Entry Sections

A steel coil uncoiler supports the incoming coil and releases strip to the entry section of a tube mill. Its selection starts with the coil that must be handled and the way strip will be supplied to the next operation. Start with the incoming coil Provide the strip width and thickness range, coil inside and outside diameters, and maximum weight of each coil. Specify steel grade and surface condition, along with any limits on handling coated material. Identify the coil-loading method and the space available around the machine. Where more than one coil position is proposed, define the load at each position and the changeover procedure.
